BOGA (Elementary Pieces for the Burning of the Temple) is a performance based on the revisitation of a series of pyrotechnic devices and traditional celebrations that find their fulcrum in bamboo and the Meriam Buluh: largely unknown to Western audiences, the famous bamboo cannon is a noise generator used in various popular and religious festivals, and popularised in the 1990s as an illegal handmade toy in rural areas of Malaysia, Indonesia and the Philippines.

The performance, starting from a series of sound devices and simple pyrotechnics, generates sound and light, and takes the form of an urban and celebratory ritual in relation to the field of action of the two performers involved, percussionist Enrico Malatesta and dancemaker Cristina Kristal Rizzo.
