AutuNno Danza
On the edge, beyond the boundary, across borders, on the borders. Decentralised and centrifugal. Out of context, out of the ordinary, external and different, outrageous and perhaps dangerous. Not centred and reassuring, not comfortable and caressing, not sweetened and ordinary, not pointed, not winning, but destitute and free.
Autunno Danza, at the turn of its quarter century, takes the luxury and daring to reject artificial constructions of the definite and choose what crosses the ridges. It rejects taxonomic categorisations, aesthetic standardisations, it traverses the margin and even the off-margin as an existential trend, precarious unbalanced instability, dynamic, mobile and noble, improvisational and creative.
In mathematics, the limit is the tendency of a variable quantity to assume a certain value. In artistic action it is an inescapable aspiration to shared values, kind and human, proudly useless, free of any claim to centrality.
Autunno Danza proposes creations by authors who eschew the obvious and risk themselves, expose unconventional bodies and ideas, break down barriers and spread beyond the borders, invade spaces, disrupt proxemics and cast glances at close distances.
A programme articulated between emerging proposals and international artists, performance projects for children, support for youthful creativity, in perennial dialogue with the multiplicity of contemporary languages and alternative visions to the signs codified by time.
