Two beings in a salon. Have they loved each other? Have they already lived together, a dance, a night, the parenthesis of a life? They are here, trying to (re)find each other. Melodies escape from recorded cassettes, from the radio, from a vinyl record. A song faded from their memory echoes; its refrains, broken and swept away by time, reassemble themselves. Through fragments, through faults, the living is reconstituted little by little…
A soap-opera continues to be broadcast, the TV is perhaps left on?
Faced with the trickle of emptiness, what remains of us, of the fire of our loves?
In an attempt to rediscover a dance shared long ago, La fièvre d’un dimanche après-midi probes the failure inherent in human relationships, the fragilities that underlie them and the great catastrophes that build them up.
