Op. 22 No. 2 is a solo by Alessandro Sciarroni created for Marta Ciappina, a dancer with whom the choreographer has been collaborating for several years. Commissioned by the Bolzano Danza Festival, the work is inspired by the symphonic poem by Finnish composer Jean Sibelius: ‘The Swan of Tuonela’, based on the epic poem Kalevala from Finnish mythology.
